I can’t explain how awesome the process has been so far and how easy the team makes everything from the “Living Lab” data capture, to the quality coms and the detailed report the school receives, to the development of all the milestones and finally the access to the best possible programs.

I can honestly say that no matter what you are doing in the area of student wellbeing, this will supplement and enhance it.”

WHAT SCHOOLS CAN EXPECT

Schools that partner with Ripple commit to a three-year funded program. The program starts with understanding the school and its requirements through research surveys and a Living Lab designed by the Western Sydney University Young and Resilience Research Centre. The findings are used to design a customised program that is implemented in two parallel streams:

The findings are used to design a customised program that is implemented in two parallel streams:

  • Ripple program – build students capacity for resilience and self-confidence
  • School Projects – reduce barriers to building resilience and self-confidence

The ongoing nature of these programs also facilitates ongoing research and analysis that enables the Ripple program to monitor student resilience and self-confidence over time and adjust the program to suit the changing needs of the school – including dealing with external events like natural disasters.

ACTIVITIES ACROSS THE SCHOOL

Research based Report and Plan

Ripple program commences with research that includes an online survey of students, teachers and parents, as well as a Living Lab – a collaborative intergenerational workshop in your school community.  The outcome of this is a Ripple Report and implementation plan specifically designed for your school.

Launch Assembly

School Projects

Ongoing parent and teacher support that complement your school programs. This includes the provision of a Resilience Resource Library for each school. These include the priority tasks your community outlines in the Living Lab workshop.

Ripple Boosters (school incursions – online or onsite)

The Ripple Report guides your school to connect with expert providers in the areas of wellbeing needing a “boost”. Provided remotely and/or in-person by Ripple wellbeing partners in areas identified as priority needs in the school community. Your school can organise these Booster programs within your school timetable and can apply for additional funding for some of these activities.
